Green Tea Extract
It supposedly works by:
Curbing your appetite
Raising calorie and fat metabolism
Natural Medicines says there isn’t enough evidence to rate how well it works.
Side effects of green tea extract, especially in high amounts, include:
Hydroxycitrate, Hydroxycitric Acid or HCA
HCA is a salt derived from the rind of dried fruit, in particular the Southeast Asian plants brindal berry and Garcinia camgodia.. It’s sold in drug stores and supplement stores as HCA, brindleberry or brindal berry and garcinia, Research shows some effectiveness of HCA at reducing fat absorption, increasing fat metabolism, inhibiting appetite, and lowering LDL cholesterol.

- fatigue and brain fog.
- skin rashes.
- an increase in catching colds/lower immune function.
- dry mouth and bad breath.
- digestive issues like nausea, trouble eating or diarrhea.
Chitin is a cellulose-like biopolymer found mainly in the exoskeleton of marine animals such as shrimp, crabs, or lobsters. Chitin can also be found in mushrooms and yeasts. Chitosan is a chemically processed form of chitin. “Squid pens,” waste shell by-products of squid processing, are a renewable and inexpensive source of chitosan.There is some evidence of the effect of chitosan on lowering cholesterol and body weight, but the effect is unlikely to be of medical importance.
The potential for allergy exists in individuals allergic to shellfish. Clinical trials report few adverse events, generally limited to flatulence and constipation.

How does it work?
Glucomannan might work in the stomach and intestines by absorbing water to form a bulky fiber which treats constipation. It may also slow the absorption of sugar and cholesterol from the gut, helping to control sugar levels in diabetes, and reducing cholesterol levels.
Side Effects: These can include bloating, stomach pains, loose stools, flatulence and diarrhea. While diarrhea can be a side effect, this doesn’t mean glucomannan is effective for treating constipation.
Claimed to make it harder for fat cells to multiply, decrease the amount of fat that they pick up from the bloodstream, and help them burn stored fat.its formula is based mainly on the extracts from Sphaeranthus Indicus flower heads and Garcinia Mangostana fruit rind.Usually, these are mixed in a ratio of 3:1
Side Effects: stomach pain, cases of nausea have been reported
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)
alpha-lipoic acid or ALA is a naturally occurring compound that’s made in the body. It serves vital functions at the cellular level, such as energy production. As long as you’re healthy, the body can produce all the ALA it needs for these purposes.

Green Coffee Extract
“Green coffee” beans are coffee seeds (beans) of Coffea fruits that have not yet been roasted. The roasting process of coffee beans reduces amounts of the chemical chlorogenic acid. Therefore, green coffee beans have a higher level of chlorogenic acid compared to regular, roasted coffee beans. Chlorogenic acid in green coffee is thought to have health benefits.

Guar gum is a fiber that normalizes the moisture content of the stool, absorbing excess liquid in diarrhea, and softening the stool in constipation. It also might help decrease the amount of cholesterol and glucose that is absorbed in the stomach and intestines.
There is some interest in using guar gum for weight loss because it expands in the intestine, causing a sense of fullness. This may decrease appetite.
Side effects include increased gas production, diarrhea, and loose stools. These side effects usually decrease or disappear after several days of use. High doses of guar gum or not drinking enough fluid with the dose of guar gum can cause blockage of the esophagus and the intestines.
